Terroir
Shaped by altitude, sand and clay, washed by Lympiatis air.
At 450 metres above sea level, our vineyards unfold around the Monastery of Saint Athanasios, within the rolling landscape of Pieria and in the presence of Mount Olympus. The Lympiatis, a cool, dry local wind descending from the mountain, moves through the vineyard and becomes part of its distinctive growing environment.
Beneath the vines, sandy-clay soils hold rounded pebbles — traces of ancient river flows — alongside shell-rich material. Together with altitude and mountain air, they form the particular setting in which our varieties grow and find their expression.
